PPCMCheck ver. 1.26 --- FREEWARE

PPCMCheck is a simple mail preview program. I wrote if for
myself so I could preview my mail on my pocket PC (Axim X3i)
and get rid of unwanted spam and possible viruses (and even
forwarded obnoxious joke emails from relatives).

This version has been updated to work around several BIG new
juicy BUGS introduced in the new Windows Mobile 2003SE operating
system which is included with the new X30 series Dell pocket
pc's. I now own both an Axim X3i and a 624mhz X30 and this new
version of PPCMCheck now works on both.

It is NOT and was NOT intended to be a FULL email client.

At this time I am distributing it ONLY in .CAB form only. For
those new PPC folks - that means that you copy the .cab file
to your handheld, click on the file, and it will install itself
and then erase the original .cab file you copied over. You
don't use ActiveSync and install it from your desktop computer.

PPCMCheck has 7 buttons at the bottom of the initial screen
when it is ran. It also has a list box and 2 other areas where
text info is displayed.

Operation

The main screen will now have the current account name listed above
the list box. You can change the current account by using either
the up or down buttons on the toolbar at the bottom. Alternately,
you could go to the settings page (wrench button) and set the
account there (if you prefer the hard way of doing things).

The first button on the toolbar is a list icon. Pressing it will
query your mail server and list all emails in your POP3 account by
the person who sent it (From address).

When you select (highlight) an entry on the list box the text field
below it will display the email Subject on the first line, the
time/date sent on the second line, and the size in bytes on the final
line.

The second button on the tool bar (open folder) will open the selected
email in a new window where it can be previewed. It is in ASCII text
form AND has the complete header included. It does not display HTML
or graphics and is not intended to. This screen also has a button
where you can, if desired, save a ASCII text copy of the message to
your drive. There is also a checkbox for enable/disable wordwrap.

Back to the main screen ..... The third button on the tool bar (X) will
delete any email message IF you have previously clicked on the check
box (left side of the list box) beside it. Simply check all the ones
you want to delete and then press the X button.

The 4th button (wrench) is, of course, for the settings page.

And the 5th button (Circle) will close (NOT minimize the application.

Buttons 6 and 7 (arrows) change the current account.
